Excellent all round. Mr wright in the bedding department was extremely helpful, the ladies in the oftice and the delivery men were very efficient. Would not hesitate in recommending Ponsford to family and friends. Thank you.

Our sofa and chairs were ordered feb 2014 and we were told there was an 8-10 week wait. 11 weeks later we hadn't heard anything so called to see where our furniture was. We were told it had missed the container and we would have to wait until late June! It is firstly poor service to promise something that was probably not possible in the first place but even poorer service to then not tell the customer it was delayed by 6 weeks. Premium prices for bargain basement service, go to Barker and Stone house where all the furniture is the same and thy have bigger buying power and stock reserves.

We do strive to maintain a transparent service and excellent customer care and are extremely disappointed that on this occasion we were unable to meet with your requirements. In this instance we were powerless to speed up the delivery once the container had been missed however we take full responsibility that we should have been aware of this earlier and should have informed you. Having being unable to fulfill our side we did fully refund you and can at this stage only apologise for your experience as we strive not to let this happen again. Kindest Regards, Lucy

Ordered two items of furniture from the website and paid 25 pounds for the local 'white gloves' service. Received an email saying the delivery would be made between '9 & 5' on a particular day. At 8am there was a knock on the door from a courier with the delivery of the product. I told him it was not a suitable time (at that time I thought he was going to assemble the furniture) but it soon became clear he was delivering only, so we reluctantly accepted delivery. I rang Ponsford's at that point (didn't open until 9) and they said the white gloves service was 'an error' on the website and it was not available - we would not have ordered in that case. To be fair someone was sent that day and assembled the furniture - he didn't know the furniture so was somewhat unsure, and we subsequently noticed it hadn't been put together altogether properly. All in all a poor show on our first purchase from Ponsfords, almost certainly in will be our last. Not impressed.

We did try our best to rectify the situation asap by sending out one of our fitters to assemble the furniture and have now amended the information provided on our website to prevent any future misunderstandings regarding our delivery process. the service and advice was outstanding from Carl and Richard in your carpet & flooring department, Although we have accepted another quote from another retailer, they have sold us the same product for our lounge ( Westex Supreme) but it has come in almost £300 cheaper. On the other hand we will still keep you in mind for the Hall stairs and landing as this is a job we are to do at a later stage, we were really impressed with the individual custom products you had on show.

I'm afraid I hate the settee and chair I bought. I know that is no fault of Ponsfords. I had to make a quick decision on it and now regret it. The sooner I can get rid of it the better. Any suggestions?

Dear Miss Jones Unfortunately, this is not something we can assist you with as we do not sell second hand furniture. You might be able to sell the items by auction. I always find a very pleasurable experience when shopping at Ponsfords. A beautifully set out store with 1000's of quality item's to choose from. I get totally left alone to browse at my leisure and then when i have decided what i would like,I always find the team very helpful on assistance & price. The quality of service and furniture is excellant and this is the reason i continually go back.

Quite simply after ordering, one of my worst retail experiences. Certainly not what I would expect from a so called premium retailer. My order was placed in January and David advised 6-8 weeks delivery. My paperwork came through advising delivery at the end of March. If only. Eventually I was advised my items were ready for delivery in May, after numerous phone calls. A date of 6th May was arranged only for your team not to turn up. I eventually received my chest of drawers and bed frame in Saturday 10th May over 14 weeks after ordering. Whilst David in sales was a star. I am afraid your transport department leave a lot to desire. I am just about to order more of this furniture. Rest assured it certainly will not be from Ponsfords. You do not deserve a second chance. I shall certainly not recommend you to friends or colleagues either.

We visited Ponsford on Saturday and Sunday last weekend (1th and 12th January 2014)to purchase a sofa and chair. The sales staff member named Denise was absolutely fantastic and incredibly helpful. We were able to take aware the material swatches and return them the following day. We purchased the items and it was a great experience.

Hello. Could we just give our thanks to everyone who gave us the most wonderful experience, shopping at Ponsfords. We checked prices on the internet for Oak dining room furniture, and I somehow thought about your shop, because I used to pass it every day and thought, " actually does anyone go there ".. How wrong !! I looked on the internet, out of curiosity, thinking we probably wouldn't be able to afford your prices.. Needless to say, we could, and we did..!! Our beautiful furniture was delivered this morning by the most lovely chaps, who went out of their way to make sure that our hardwood floor wasn't damaged during delivery.. Many thanks to Denise, the lovely lady who completed the sale for us, as nothing was too much trouble, and also the lady who gave us the complimentary coffee in the cafe. Ally & Tony Probert

The service and quality at this beautiful family owned store is of paramount and not only are all the staff friendly but also have a non hassle free attitude towards their clients. A wonderful experience of old fashioned charm and values in the most tasteful surroundings with great prices not seen at a chained owned store. I purchased a Duresta suite from Harrods and the same suite was 1600 pounds cheaper at Ponsfords ( More the fool me.) Even though I live in London I shall without doubt buy my furniture in whatever form it may be from Ponsfords. There is a saying " You get what you pay for" Indeed this is very much the case in this family business who are proud and should be, of their wonderful reputation.

Although I live approx 45 miles away from Ponsford’s, I still make the 90mile round trip due to their amazing customer service. They have a good range of designer affordable furniture which caters for those who appreciate quality. Not only do I always receive good service in store but I have been staggered by their incredible after sales service. I have had a couple of issues with furniture due to possible wear and tear where Ponsford’s have sent out their dedicated repair agents to put my mind at ease. On each occasion there was no talk of costs by the retailer or any hesitation in sending their contractor on the long journey to my home. Furthermore their repair agents are all equally as pleasant and honest, most notably a chap called Mr R Hadi. More recently I purchased a mirror from Ponsford’s which a competitor had reduced to clear by almost 50%, the competitor however was out of stock. Regardless of this I emailed Ponsford’s asking whether they could price match. Tom Barker, Digital Marketing Manager recognised me as a “valued customer” and went one step further and beat the competitor’s price. He reduced the price on their website so that I could purchase online. Even after I had purchased the mirror, I emailed Tom and his staff seeking advice on fixing the mirror which they responded to promptly after liaising with their fitters.

Excellent customer service and Tom Parker was more than happy to help regarding the delivery of the barometer. The item is very modern, stylish and exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend.
