“Over a number of years we have bought I number of items from Ponsfords. Without exception the advice, services and products that we have received have been of the highest standard. It is hard to imagine us shopping elsewhere for furniture.”

“Bought two expensive (for us) Stressless chairs from Ponsford. Salesman was very patient, didn't rush us and answered all our many questions. Items were delivered within the promised timescale by two very polite and helpful chaps, who unwrapped the items in our living room and waited as we checked them over. Overall excellent service and I would (and have) recommend Ponsford to anyone seeking quality furniture.”

“This is the best furniture shop I have ever been in. They have a huge selection of carpets and sofas. But the most impressive thing is the staff who are extremely polite, honest, helpful, and knowledgeable. We spent hours discussing carpets with them, with never a hint of boredom or frustration, and when the sofa we ordered was on 2 month back order they loaned us one to be going on with! No need to go anywhere else in Sheffield area. Leaves JL standing.”

“Curtains - Made very well and it was no problem for a couple to return and amend the bottom of them. When we were choosing the curtain material and the carpet Liane was wonderful in helping us get the right combination even to the colour of the walls. We have had no problems at all and I think it's all down to Liane and the carpet people.”

“After the trauma of a major flood which necessitated 5 months of drying out and remedial work we were delighted with the way Ponsford's turned our house back into a home. From in store advice, home visits to measure up, purchase, then on through to delivery and fitting, our carpets and furniture arrived with perfect timing and without fuss. They even helped liaise with our Insurers. We cannot speak too highly of the individuals who looked after each stage of the process. Sheffield's greatest family business.”

“We have both bought large purchases from the store, and have always received excellent customer service. We find that the sales assistants are very knowledgeable about what they are selling. One thing which could be improved are the small choice of lamps. These are a key feature, particularly in a living room or bedroom, and with the store selling beds and sofas, it would make sense for people to have the choice of some nice table or floor lamps too complete their look. Overall excellent store, would recommend to friends.”

“We were surprised that we had to purchase a separate floor protector a couple of weeks after delivery of the ergometric chair as it was scratching the floor. It would be nice if it was offered at time of purchasing all the furniture and offered as part of the service. Otherwise we have received an excellent service.”
